I examine the Amiga's lesser known Wipe Out game. At its core, it's Tron with hoverboards rather than light cycles, played against enemy AI or a friend via the split screen view. Betting on the outcome of bouts and climbing the leaderboard represents the other side of the equation, introducing deeper management elements to counterbalance the game's action oriented focus.
