‘Jagajjyotirmalla Krita Hargauri Vivah Natak’ is an important research work by scholar-writer Dr Ramdeo Jha published in year 1970 in Maithili. This is one of the authentic research works by him to understand    the Nepal-Tirhut/Mithila connection dates back to ancient times. Researcher Dr Ramdeo Jha has produced one of the plays of Bhaktapur king Jagajjyotirmalla (1614-1637) during whose reign, Maithili was introduced as the court language and occupied a pride of place in the royal court of the Malla kings of Nepal.
