Description

National Archives description "VS, soldiers wash jeep in pond. Soldier at .50 cal MG of speeding M-113 APC. Soldier in turret of M-113. LS, docking facilities for LCTs and LCMs at the My Tho base camp. A LCM moves away. LCT on beach. AVs, 9th Inf Div base camp (Tents and storage areas). Officer using map briefs the men. M-113s with soldiers aboard move out of area. M-113s parked on field. VS, soldiers look at wrecked tracks of M-113 caused by VC mine. Travel shot, M-113s with convoy drive along road passing villages and a M-113 on guard. UH-1D lands; officer gets out and confers with other officers. VS, soldiers wade through muck. Soldiers file out of jungle and board LCM. Soldiers crowded on LCM. Travel shot, shoreline and huts as seen from LCM. Soldiers leave LCM and move into heavy brush. Soldiers move through mud and cross small stream. Soldier at the ready with M-16 rifle. VS, soldiers cross grass field and move into swamp. Soldier heats water on field stove and shaves using mirror on jeep. VS, soldiers open rations, use field stove, rest, read and eat. Man unloads mermite cans from jeep. Soldiers are served hot meals from the mermite cans. Soldier brushes sand from jeep drives it into pond and washes it."
