1749 Proposals Relating to the Education of Youth in Pensilvania by Benjamin Franklin. A pamphlet created by Benjamin Franklin and distributed after a speech in Philadelphia in which he presses for a school of higher learning in the city. This school soon becomes the University of Pennsylvania.Introduction is by William, Pepper, MDfrom the University of California Berkeley LibraryCopyright statement:This work is in the public domain in the United States because it was legally published within the United States (or the United Nations Headquarters in New York subject to Section 7 of the United States Headquarters Agreement) before 1964, and copyright was not renewed. Additionally, some parts of this work were already in the public domain at the time of copyright notification, and therefore remained in the public domain. Works published in 1931 would have had to renew their copyright in either 1958 or 1959, i.e. at least 27 years after it was first published / registered but not later than 31 December in the 28th year. As it was not renewed, it entered the public domain on 1 January 1960.
