Description

Gdynia-Torun: Baltic Institute, 1936. — 110 p.When the Baltic Institute, a year ago, began to prepare the Statistical Baltic Yearbook, it had in view the collection and comparative classification of the statistical data on Denmark, Estonia, Finland, Latvia, Lithuania, Poland and Sweden, the lands most closely dependent upon the Baltic. Of the two remaining countries enjoying access to that sea, the U. S. S. R. has been omitted from consideration in view of its unusual and complicated structure, while Germany has been included, in spite of the fact that she does not gravitate so strongly towards the Baltic as the other seven.ContentsPrefaceArea and frontiersPopulationAgriculture, forestry, live stock, sea fisheriesMining and industryTransport, communicationForeign tradeBalance of international payments, national wealth and incomeCurrency and creditBusiness associationsPricesEmployment and wagesPublic instructionPublic financeArmy, navy and airforceAlphabetical index
