সুধীন্দ্রনাথ দত্ত আধুনিক বাংলা কবিতার এক অন্যতম স্রষ্টা। বিংশ শতাব্দী ত্রিশ দশকের মধ্যে যে গুটিকয়েক কবি রবীন্দ্র-প্রভাব কাটিয়ে আধুনিকতার সূত্রপাত করেন তাদের মধ্যে তিনিই প্রধান। তাকে বাংলা কবিতায় ধ্রুপদ রীতির প্রবর্তক বলা হয়ে থাকে। Sudhindronath Dutta is one of the principal figures in modern Bengali poetry, one of the few poets who were able to move beyond the influence of Rabindranath and establish a new style of poetry.
