O latim é um idioma admirável com gramática perfeitamente conhecida e imenso vocabulário, em grande parte incorporado e em uso cotidiano  nos idiomas modernos  neolatinos ( 90%) e no inglês ( 65%).  Autores que se ocuparam em facilitar e extender o conhecimento e o uso prático da língua latina são unânimes em afirmar que um conhecimento elementar da  sua morfologia (lexicologia) é o primeiro passo para começar a entendê-lo e utilizá-lo como língua auxiliar moderna internacional.
