Article in portuguese.ABSTRACT: This article has the objective to focus the incestuous relations portrayedin the theater play Álbum de família, by Nelson Rodrigues, approaching the discussionabout the elements of the mythology and the Greek tragedy, more specifically ÉdipoRei, by Sófocles, whose intertextuality is present in different parts of the NelsonRodrigues’s texts. The boldness of Nelson Rodrigues to approach so controversialthemes on mid 20 century, with a sophisticated language, including with classic content,will be discussed. Other Nelson Rodrigues’ works, either in prose or in dramaturgy, willalso be cited, briefly highlighting some adaptations for the cinema.
