Letters sent by Nepalese merchant Laxmi Dhan Shakya from Kolkata to Kathmandu. Laxmi Dhan of Kwabahal, Kathmandu was in charge of the Kolkata office of Ghorashar business house. Pushpa Sundar was in Lhasa at the time, and the letters are addressed to his family in Kathmandu (mother Mohan Maya, wife Dhan Maya, and sons Lupau Ratna and Karuna Ratna). He has written about money problems and exchanges with Lhasa.
