Description

I examine Ocean Software's 2D platform game adaptation of the mega-flop movie, Navy SEALS; an all-American, military action exercise in blasting away foreigners whilst waving the red, white and blue flag. It was released for all the major 8 and 16-bit systems of the time, tailored to suit their respective technical capabilities. Skipping the movie's minimal character development interludes, Ocean's interpretation revolves around destroying enemy missile stockpiles and introducing baddies to bullet-shaped lead.
