Off Beat was a free monthly magazine published by CFUV-FM 105.1. CFUV Radio is operated by the University of Victoria Student Radio Society located at the University of Victoria Student Union Building. CFUV began broadcasting on December 17, 1984 and Off Beat was launched in 1986 to promote the station within the campus and local communities.Content includes a listeners guide providing details of CFUV shows and radio hosts, playlists, interviews with bands, music reviews, and letters to the editor. The collection provides insight into student journalism, artwork, and magazine design, as well as the local music scene in Victoria.
