The book is richly illustrated.About the AuthorYen Wen-ching was born in 1915 in Hupeh Province. He began his writing career in 1935, producing a substantial body of work encompassing prose, short stories, and tales for children. From 1938 to 1945, he served as a teacher in the Department of Literature at the Lu Hsun Arts Institute in Yenan. Following the establishment of the new China in 1949, he held positions such as assistant editor-in-chief of the Northeast Daily and chief editor of the monthly People's Literature. Currently, Yen Wen-ching serves as the Director and Editor-in-chief of the People’s Literature Publishing House.Among his notable works are the novel 'A Man's Sorrow' and the collections of tales for children, including 'Song of the Rivulet' and 'Nan Nan and Uncle Greybeard.'All credits to Guptaji.
