The Orcadian lullaby Sleepy Laddie is Song No. 5 in Clive Strutt's "Orcadian Song Book Volume II From an Old Orkney Croft." The tune and words are by Alexander (Allie) Windwick and the arrangement is by Clive Strutt. This version of the song is for soprano solo with piano accompaniment.     The première of Sleepy Laddie took place at the Town Hall in Stromness, Orkney on 1st February 2015 at an Arts Society Foy for the Centenary of Alexander Windwick's birth. Hannah Bown was the soloist and she was accompanied on the piano by Peter Stephenson.
